Speculations on Posthuman Architecture: Virtual Ec Speculations on Posthuman Architecture: Virtual Ecologies & Non-Human Presence workshop offers students the chance to explore posthuman architecture in virtual ecologies and the influence of non-human entities. Instructors: İpek Kuran & Kaan Karabağlı Location: Faculty of Architecture, KD4 08/04/2023-09/04/2023 10:00-18:00 Application: ipek.kuran@bilgi.edu.tr Attendees will use AI tools like Chat GPT, Midjourney, and Runway to speculate on designs and scenarios, as well as 3D modeling software like Rhino and Maya to design virtual spaces. They will experience their creations in virtual reality using Unreal Engine.
We will hold a workshop named “Surreal Natures” under the instruction of Kaan Karabağlı this weekend. The workshop is designed to introduce participants to Autodesk Maya in the frameworks of form making and visual experimentation. We will be focusing on how to simply create 3D models and manipulate their forms to generate visually unique representations. The participants are encouraged to use their own inspirations from the theme of this workshop “surreal natures” as reference to generating their own final works.
